About the game

Your army is small. The horde is huge. Hold the line!

Hold the Line is a cartoon army shooter for all ages. Drag your squad of tiny blue soldiers across the lanes, shoot the gates to grow your crowd, and stop the red horde before it reaches you. Every second you choose: grow your army, or fight now? Nothing to buy, ads only if you choose to watch one, and it plays offline.

Grow your army with gates

  • Shoot number gates to raise their count, then stand under them as they roll in to add soldiers
  • Catch x2 and x3 gates to multiply your army
  • Red trap gates and ÷2 gates shrink your squad: shoot them up or step aside
  • Grab weapon and power gates for a quick boost

Stop the horde

  • Big crowds of cartoon baddies march down the lanes. Read them, dodge them and pop them into puffs of dust
  • Keep your combo going for big score bursts
  • Switch lanes fast as more lanes open up

Beat the bosses

  • Every world has its own giant boss: the Brute King, the Sand Golem, the Frost Yeti, the Lava Serpent and the Mega Mech
  • Dodge their slams and target circles, then hit them while they are open

5 worlds, 100 levels, then endless

  • Green Meadows, Scorching Dunes, Frozen Peaks, Magma Core and Neon City, 20 levels each
  • Up to 3 stars on every level
  • Endless mode: waves with twists and a boss every few waves

Upgrade and collect

  • Spend coins you earn in play on starting army, firepower, fire rate and more
  • Unlock weapons, open chests, collect cards and skins
  • Daily rewards, missions, achievements and stats

Play anywhere

  • No in-app purchases: everything is earned in play
  • Optional ads only: a short video you can choose to watch to revive or to double your coins, never during a level
  • Plays offline, no internet needed
  • No accounts and no chat. Your progress stays on your device
  • Optional online leaderboards, off unless switched on
  • Short levels, made for quick sessions

If you like crowd runner games, army run games and lane shooters, gather your soldiers, pick your lane and hold the line!

Questions and answers

Is Hold the Line free?
Yes. It's free to download and play, with no in-app purchases. Coins, upgrades, cards, skins and chests are all earned by playing.
Does Hold the Line have ads?
Yes: optional reward videos you choose to watch, never during a level. When your squad is wiped out you can watch one to revive, once per run, and on the results screen you can watch one to double that run's coins. "No thanks" is always there, there are no banners or pop-up ads, and every level can be won without ever watching an ad. For players under 18, and anyone who skips the age question, every ad request is marked child-directed or under the age of consent, is not personalised and asks for ads rated for all ages.
Does Hold the Line work offline?
Yes. All 100 levels and Endless mode play without internet. When you're online it checks for game updates, and the optional online leaderboards (off by default) use the connection.
Is Hold the Line safe for kids?
It's made for ages 9 and up and follows Google Play's Families policy. The action is cartoon: toy-like blue soldiers pop red cartoon baddies into puffs of dust, with no blood. There's no chat, no accounts and nothing to buy, the only ads are optional reward videos a player chooses to watch (child-directed and not personalised for under-18s), and online leaderboards are optional and off by default.
How many levels does Hold the Line have?
100 levels in 5 worlds (Green Meadows, Scorching Dunes, Frozen Peaks, Magma Core and Neon City), 20 per world, each world with its own boss. After that, Endless mode sends waves with a boss every few waves.
Is there a real game like the army gate ads?
Hold the Line is a game built around that idea: shoot number gates and x2 gates to grow your army and hold off the horde. What you see in its screenshots is real gameplay. It plays offline, and its only ads are optional reward videos you choose to watch.
Is Hold the Line violent?
It's cartoon action: blue soldiers with blasters pop red cartoon baddies into puffs of dust. No blood.
Is there a crowd shooter game that works offline?
Yes. All 100 levels and Endless mode of Hold the Line play without internet.
Where can I download Hold the Line?
On Google Play, for Android phones and tablets with Android 7.0 or later. The game is in closed testing now; its Play page (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.holdtheline.game) opens to everyone at launch. There is no iPhone or web version.
Who makes Hold the Line?
Hold the Line is made by SoFeat Games, the games label of Sharvil Mane, an individual developer in Pune, India. Questions go to support@callmissed.com.
What data does Hold the Line collect?
Very little: update checks send a random install ID that we don't store, and nothing else is kept on our server unless you switch on the optional online leaderboards (off by default), which share only a generated name and your scores. If you choose to watch an optional ad, Google AdMob receives the technical data an ad request carries, such as your IP address and device identifiers, and we receive none of it. The privacy policy at https://sofeat.com/games/hold-the-line/privacy/ explains both.
